NRI Procedure after Submitting the Application
Step 1:
Download your online submitted application by clicking "Download Documents To be signed". Print the online application along with FATCA form.
Step 2:
Please affix passport size photograph(s) of sole/first applicant and second applicant (if any) in the Photograph section provided in the printed application form and sign at the required places. Also, please enclose one additional photograph of each applicant in the envelope while sending account opening application to the Bank.
Step 3:
Please mention place, date and affix your signatures at the specified places for All applicants. If you are sending an initial remittance (cheque / demand draft), then please draw it in favor of "Punjab National Bank A/c (your Full Name)".
Step 4:
Please get the attestation of copy of relevant pages of Passport, Photograph & signature in application form and other KYC/ identification documents, from the concerned authorities as mentioned below;

Authorized officials of overseas branches of Scheduled Commercial Banks registered in India,

Branches of overseas banks with whom Indian banks have relationships,

Notary Public abroad,
-
Court Magistrate,
-
Judge,
-
Indian Embassy/Consulate General in the country where the non-resident customer resides.
Step 5:

After attestation of the application and documents, please provide the details of the attester in the specified place provided in the form.

Then please go back to the website and upload all the documents along with application form by logging in through mobile number & OTP and the page will be redirected to upload your application and documents.

The application submitted along with uploaded documents will flow to our NRI Customer Service Centre (NRI CSC) for preliminary checking of documents.

If there is any discrepancy in the application or documentation, Customer will get an intimation with queries to modify/rectify (resume application) the application/ documents and upload the same again & click on submit. The details will again flow to NRI CSC.

If everything is in order, then NRI CSC will generate the AWB number TAG at the courier partner portal for picking the envelope from your current address which is provided in the online application. SMS and email will be sent to the you for information.

Put the original Account Opening Application Form along with copy of Identification documents after attestation, in an envelope and please mention "ONLINE ACCOUNT OPENING APPLICATION FORM – NRI (ARN No.)" on the covering of envelope. Also please paste the Waybill on the cover (will be mailed to your registered email id)

After the receipt of original documentation and a final scrutiny by NCSC, the account will be opened, and the details will be intimated to you through email.
