Debit cards are chip-based cards. In addition to performing the function of withdrawing cash from the ATMs, these can also be used to make purchases at Point of Sale i.e. at merchant establishment or over the internet for e-commerce transactions.

These cards are accepted at all ATMs and Merchant Establishments with POS machines and also over the internet for ecommerce transactions.


Add On cards and Add On accounts

Customer can avail facility of 2 additional cards for his/her family members (include parents, spouse and kids only). All cards work on main account of primary card holder.

Maximum of 3 accounts (one primary + 2 other accounts) can be added to a single card only at the time of issuance of card. Transactions are allowed on any account at PNB ATM only. On other bank ATM the Primary account will be shown.

The accounts can be of any CBS branch but these should be of the same name and held in same capacity.

Who are eligible for PNB Classic Debit Card :
  • All KYC compliant saving and Current Account holders who maintain the minimum balance and who regularly operate their account are eligible for a PNB Debit Card.
  • New customers are eligible for a PNB Debit Card at the time of opening the account.
  • Debit Card can be issued in Joint Accounts with "Either or Survivor"/"Former or Survivor" mandate. In "Either or Survivor" accounts, Cards can be issued to both the account holders whereas in "Former or Survivor" accounts card can be issued only to the Former. In joint Accounts where account has to be jointly operated Debit Card shall not be issued unless mandate for operation of account specifies "Either or Survivor" or "Former or Survivor".

Uphaar Card is a gift card to be used by purchaser for personal use or for gifting purpose.

Features of the PNB Uphaar Card

  • PNB Uphaar Card is a versatile card that can be used at Point of Sale (POS) Terminals.
  • PNB Uphaar Card can be purchased for a minimum of Rs.100/- and a maximum of Rs.10,000/-.
  • It is ideal as a gift, both for individuals as well as Corporates.
  • PNB Uphaar Card can be purchased through Bank branches.
  • PNB Uphaar Card can be purchased by Account holders and others. Customers do not have account in PNB can avail the card by producing valid KYC documents.
  • The charges levied for the card is Rs.50/-
  • The PNB Uphaar Card cannot be reloaded.

2 PNB SUVIDHA CARD

Suvidha Card is a pre-paid card to be used by the purchaser for their personal usage or a card that can be used by Corporates for making payment of salary/incentives/bonus etc. to their employees or for any other purpose apart from giving out as gifts.

Features of PNB Suvidha Card

  • PNB Suvidha Card is a versatile card that can be used at ATM as well as at Point of Sale (POS) Terminals.
  • PNB Suvidha Card can be purchased for a minimum of Rs.100/- and a maximum of Rs.200,000/-.
  • Daily usage limit up to Rs. 25000/- for ATM and Rs.60,000/- for POS/ECOM as per card balance.
  • It is ideal as a gift, both for individuals as well as Corporates.
  • PNB Suvidha Card can be purchased through Bank branches.
  • PNB Suvidha Card can be purchased by Account holders and others. Customers do not have account in PNB can avail the card by producing valid KYC documents.
  • The charges levied for the card is Rs.50/-
  • PNB Suvidha Card be reloaded through branches and Internet Banking.

  • Debit Card can be issued in Joint Accounts with "Either or Survivor"/"Former or Survivor" mandate. In "Either or Survivor" accounts, Cards can be issued to both the account holders whereas in "Former or Survivor" accounts card can be issued only to the Former.   • Kissan Cash Credit account holders are eligible for Kissan Cards.

  • Under Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, PMJDY cards are issued to SBBDA account holders. The main objective of PMJDY card issuance is to achieve financial inclusion inclusion by providing maximum benefits like digital services through cards, free insurance facility and cashless convenience etc. to the customers.
  • This is a RuPay Classic Card.
  • The Daily Cash withdrawal limit is Rs. 25,000/- at ATM and Transaction limit is Rs.60,000/- at POS / Ecom
  • Accidental death/ permanent disability cover of Sum assured of Rs. 1 lac for RuPay Debit Card issued in PMJDY account opened till 28th August’18 and Sum assured of Rs. 2 lacs for RuPay Debit Card issued in PMJDY account opened after 28th August’18 onwards
  • For all such cases, date of account opening has to be specifically mentioned in the claim form.

  • This is RuPay Classic debit card and is issued to KCC customers for use only in India.

  • RuPay MUDRA is a non personalized co-branded card along with MUDRA (Micro Units Development and Refinance Agency) Bank Ltd and issued on RuPay platform. MUDRA debit card is launched under PMMY (Prime Minister MUDRA Yojna) and will help the borrower access credit in flexible manner to meet their working capital needs.
  • Objective : To provide access to the working capital facility account to small micro units through MUDRA Ltd. and partner Bank.
Benefits :
  • Can be used to draw cash from any ATM or BC or make purchases using PoS terminal.
  • Has the facility to repay the amount as and when the surplus is available thereby reducing the interest burden and can be used to repay the amount using the Bank channel.
  • E-Commerce transactions.
Features :
  • Cash withdrawal on ATMs up to Rs 25,000/- per day however per withdrawal limit of Rs. 20,000/- at PNB ATMs and Rs. 10,000/- at other Bank ATMs. POS/E-commerce (combined) transactions limit up to Rs 60,000/- per day.

  • As per the direction of Govt. of Madhya Pradesh, RuPay Debit Cards are issued to customers under Samagra Scheme. This RuPay Debit Card is Bi-lingual and is being issued in Madhya Pradesh under PMJDY. These cards are to be issued only in Madhya Pradesh state.
  • This card can be issued in SBBDA accounts opened under Samagra scheme in Madhya Pradesh.
  • Daily Cash limit Rs.25000/- and POS transaction limit Rs.60 000/-

  • As per the direction of Govt. of Rajasthan, the RuPay Debit Cards are being issued under Bhamashah scheme. These cards are to be issued only in Rajasthan state.
  • This card can be issued in SBBDA accounts opened under Bhamashah scheme in Rajasthan.
  • Daily Cash limit Rs.25000/- and POS transaction limit Rs.60 000/-

Insurance Claim

Monetary Compensation Scheme on Debit Card:

Accident insurance claim is available for both premium and non-premium for debit card users.

Premium cards include:

  • Rupay Platinum and Rupay Select Debit Card

Non premium cards include:

  • Rupay PMJDY Debit Card

For Accidental Death/Permanent Disability Insurance on Rupay Platinum and Rupay Select Debit Cards, Customer should have performed minimum one successful Rupay Card induced financial transaction at any POS/ Ecom, both Intra and Inter-bank i.e. on-us or off us within 30 days prior to date of accident including accident date of Rupay Cardholder

For Accidental Death/Permanent Disability Insurance on Rupay PMJDY Debit Cards, Customer should have performed financial or non-financial transaction at any Channel both Intra and Inter-bank i.e. on-us (ATM/MicroATM/POS/e-com/Business Correspondent of the bank at locations by any payment instrument) within 90 days prior to date of accident including accident date of Rupay PMJDY . Cardholders or off us (same bank channels- Bank Customer/Rupay cardholder transactions at other bank channels).

For Rupay card holders, insurance facility for both accidental death/permanent disability is available:

For Accidental Death / Permanent Total Disability Rs. Sum Assured of Rs 2 lakh is available.

Rupay Select

For Accidental Death / Permanent Total Disability Rs. Sum Assured of Rs 10 lakh is available.

Presently, there is no Insurance feature available for Rupay Classic Cards.

For MasterCard and VISA Debit Card holders, currently there is no Insurance feature available for Accidental Death/ Permanent Disability.

Family member(s) / beneficiaries of a deceased PNB ATM / Debit Card holder should intimate their base branch within 90 days from the date of death.

Claim should be submitted within 90 days from the date of accident. In case it is submitted after 90 days, the insurance company will carry out an investigation & it would be honored if all other conditions are met as on date of accident.

    No. of Transactions includes financial and non-financial transactions (only mini statement). There are no charges for other non-financial transactions except mini statement. The above charges are effective from 01/09/2017

  • PNB Cardholders attached to Saving Bank accounts may make three transactions (Financial & Non-Financial) in 6 Metro cities (Mumbai, New Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru and Hyderabad) and five transactions in other cities at ATMs of other banks free of cost in every calendar month. Other transactions will attract charges of Rs. 20 for financial transactions and Rs. 9 for Non-Financial Transactions respectively at other Bank ATMs.
  • However for RuPay Mudra Card launched in July-2015, all ATMs transaction attract charges where customers make transactions on other banks ATMs.
    Any no. of POS / ecommerce transactions are also free except No. 7 & 8.
  • The charges for International transactions at ATMs are as follows:

    Cash Withdrawal-- Rs. 150/- per transaction.

    Non-financial Transaction --Rs. 30/- per transaction

  • The charges for International ATM transactions in Nepal under Everest Bank Ltd. Sharing arrangement are as follows:

Guidelines for Failed ATM Transaction

  • 1. Complaints lodged against failed ATM transactions will be resolved within 7 working days of receipt of complaints.
  • 2. For delayed resolution, compensation of Rs.100 per day will be paid if claim is lodged within 30 days of the date of transaction.
  • 3. All such complaints be lodged at our Customer Relationship Centre by calling # 0120-2490000 and ( Toll Free)1800 1800 , 1800 2021.

Loss/Theft of ATM/Debit Cards

In case of loss/theft of card, the Cardholder shall immediately Block/Hotlist his /her card to avoid any misuse for safety reason through following channels:

  • By calling call center representative at 24 hours toll free helpline numbers 1800 1800 & 1800 2021 or through paid helpline number 0120-2490000.
  • By sending SMS (HOTCard Number) e.g. HOT 5126520000000013 to 5607040 from your registered mobile number.
  • By logging in to PNB Internet Banking Services and going to Value Added Services -> Emergency Services -> Debit Card Hotlisting
  • By logging into PNB One and going to the option Debit Card -> Hotlist Debit Card
  • By using Whatsapp Banking --> Send ‘Hi’ to 92640-92640 --> Select “All Services” --> Select “Debit Card Services” --> Select “Disable/Block Debit Card” --> Select Debit card number to disable (temporary block) or Block (permanent block) --> Select “Temporary block or Permanent block” option --> the option selected will be executed as per choice.

Note: Debit card once hotlisted cannot be de-hotlisted
